As you know i'm in Melbourne now (13-09degs) and its been day 4 of my trip! The girls are gettng ready for Dandenongs trip and Kobejones (sushi) for picture whoring / more glorious food / Puffing Billy.

few weeks back: it was Racial Harmony and HSBC staff had to wear the traditional ker-ba-yahs? as my Dept's theme was everything Malay. My first time wearing it and my Dept was decorated like a place held for a malay wedding with the kuehs!!! (FOOD), Silat?! dance moves with music humming at the backgroung. To think about it, i do not even have the cheong sum. To think i am a chinese. HEH. It was fun.

this week is my last wk at HSBC, very bittersweet but thanks for all the love you give me - CHOCOLATES, CAKES, LUNCH HOURS, VOUCHERS, CARDS, GOING OUT AFTER WORK WITH YOU, LAUGHTERS AND TEASING me with my own phrases of "i emo already ah, i angry ah". And of course looking at me and calling me tums. 0_o

I received my student id card from NUS and its states SCHOOL OF BUSINESS. The picture is way better than my Ngee Ann Poly std id. hahaha;coolioos... so excited and nervous for next year. I will make it fab fab fantastic 08/09.

Indeed alot of mixed emotions. Alot of bittersweet moments.

Food is my passion and im proud to say the first time i cooked something was during National Day during sec 1 or 2. I made BBQ chicken kebab that tasted not bad?! - okgay, i forgot. Now, i am proud to say the second time i cooked was for a friend who is close despite not being classmates or workmates. I knew her during my rugby days. Faith, my home's share tasted more like peach jelly. Im sure ill make better ones when you get back. x) Lissa and You, please take care.

*2 SMU Profs' told us to intro ourselves . 1st girls says "I am from _ _ JC and love to play basketball but i know im short. 2 Deans ask for hobbies and so she says "i love to shop..blah blah blah"..still on about her <3 for shopping then she ended with "i spend at least $2k a month on shopping". The 2 profs' just stared at her in amusement and continued to the next girl. I have a feeling the girl wont get in as the 2 Profs ended the interview with " i hope you all get in for the right reasons and not because of the school is in town and SHOPPING habits. OUCH. Before the interview we were talkin in a room among ourselves and e 8 of them were saying which JC they were from like " im from ACjc , Rjc and etc". It came my turn and guess what i said!!! Im from NP. They stared at me and blurrredd away ????.. heh.. everyone was with initials so be like them la. arse, in the end i told them "ni-annn-po-li-teh-nick" :p 9 of us and 8 JC mates and 1 poly me. I sure was a nervous wreck.

*During work, a Tiger courier man delievered a parcel which my colleague, Vargilia, had to receive. Before receiving it, we had a telephone conversation and it went like this "Hello! I from TIGER courier outside now ah .. need GORILLA to take something..beep.." hahahah..poor girl, now im calling her Gorilla. Dont name your kids such chim names in the future. haho.

Alot of chums have been talking about University and I am so glad that i went through all the 3 interviews. Thank YOU TANx2, WHAM, GORILLA, LEEN, LAKSA and family for all the help and encourgement. Voodoo day last night was good after work. Met up with eric, wei, sherri, shan, mel and dawn. We met up to supposedly surprise Wen as its her 20th Birthday but she could not turn up (WEN hope you were touched by the call as i felt you were lost for words. ) so we still went ahead having the famous Bugis street ma-la steamboat till 11pm. We were so full with the fantastic food but yet dawn's and my stomach could still take it some cooling sweet desserts. So from the steamboat restaurant on the left side of the road we walked over to the right side off the road to have our " cool off" session at the famous "ah chew dessert" shop. It appear on sweet talk tv hosted by melody chen and the spore dance floor female host. We ordered mango sago, honey sago, herbal jelly, some black seed and tang yuan combo and honkgong ice cream bean. Dawn and i specially ordered the jelly eventhough we had our own sagos to eat. Full stomach is a happy girl, thats me. No wonder , my most sayang-ed organ is my stomach. heh.
After eating so much, we came up with a random plan of going to DXO. hahah..since it was ladies night and all of us did not go there before except for myself being it my second time. We went to boogie while feeling smelly and full. Happy in our own crowd although the crowd at the club was not much of a gossip to talk about. Then i zonked out at 5am.
*I will be doing a Bachelor in Business, it is fixed already!!! Finally decided after reading the papers. x)

Yesterday was my POPO's 89th Birthday, the party was held at the main house. I was a good girl. Why? Many know i love to eat but last night i helped out in making one of the finest food to end the night. haho. I did the yu-sheng//"lou hei" dish with my cousin. We shredded cabbage, carrots, sliced fish and abalone pieces. The dish was so colorful and looking at it make us h-a-p-p-y. Now i know how to make the dish so next year and nextttt yearssssss i can do "lou hei" for my family. heh. Also, we had the traditional red eggs - last night the red eggs all came with 2 egg yolks i didnt know till this morning while having one as my aunt got it speacially for the birthday party. sweet. , keuhkeuh (tasted nutty and sweet, there are leftovers now in my fridge)which i was forced to eat as i thought it wasnt hand-made. hah. , cheng teng, mee-suah mee mushroom-chicken drumplet soup which i had no chance to bite on heh., black pork mushroom seacucumber dish and we called in buffet catering which was way better than last year.

the bottom line of this long foodie post is : would my cousins' generation ever make such good tasty old traditional Hainanese!? food down the road.

Just got back from a 10course chinese meal with my family friend since childhood. Feeling so satisfied//full. I have been thinking down the road as i grow older, who would be my childhood friends??? hmmm....

I cannot wait to start my Uni' days. Just got back from the NTU top poly student open hse and i am back thinking what i want to do in the future. Business is where i want to be but am i capable of it in the long run. Having so many mix emotions. I want LISSA, EILEEN, RINI, DAWN, CONNIE, MELISSA, SHERRI, 4/1 BOYS AND ME IN THE SAME UNI'!!!! X-my fingers. I would love to stay in the hostel for the fun//independent// experience as NTU & NUS are located along the Jurong east line...it is roughly 18 train stops plus a bus ride (90mins) from home..bummerr..except for SMU which is of acceptable walking distance.

*DAWN, dun be sulky about the course im pursuing. At least we will be in the same Uni and in the same hostel too. <3

Went to my cousins wedding which was fantastic, probably the best in Singapore. Imagine having it at Shangri-La where the biggest ballroom is at holding 800 guests and releatives saying i look like my cousin - the bride la. There were many famous&richfood&goodlookingpeople aroud. haho haho.... I shall have my wedding there too!!!

The table next to us were prettay FAIR TAITAIs with their not so handsome old husbands and prettaye kids in expensive wear drinking wine&eating popcorns. heh. Chanel and KAte Spade...wtf... By the way, one on of them is Sinpapore's famous jewellery owner - the one in brown dress with the back facing the pool. I know the photo do not do justice to these pretty young mums.

Above pictures are roughly how i spent my weekend. Driving is good and i have booked my next drving. First lesson : chat with the instructor about moolahs, military band, kids and driving while i drove round and round the circuit. NOt bad i can say for starters. The first 20 mins was spend telling me about the car parts&etc then reversing&forwarding for 10mins then the rounds. At first he didnt want to teach me how to change tyres as he says "you can call A&A or AVA?!" heh. No wonder males always think ladies cant change tyres. It is because during their practical their instructors didnt teach them but i asked him to show me!!! heh. Gor', come back quick so i can show you what i have learned - exciting tone- x)

Now im in the office with a bad tum tum ache and period. darn. Toilet 3 times and have used up all toilet rolls possible in the ladies. hah. Leaving the office now earlier to meet leen&sasa&indo girl for movie "step up". My ivory is seriously injured so it needs to be at MEL tomorrow. heh.

Well girl is always grumpy and she wore pink today. Can you believe that both of us wore pink and were grumpy. One staff said we looked so sweet sitting next to each other at the meeting room. hmmm... Anyhows, there are many November big babies so courage laffy taffy bought 4 cakes but i had none as they were creamy although they were chocolate and fruit cakes. darn. :X Now i shall not call courage laffy taffy horrid laughter as she is a nice person with a kind considerate heart. x)
Can't wait to knock off and hang out with the 02 chums for a belated birthday celebration. I end my last day of October 2006 with unplan plans of meeting the devils of my crankiness - leen&bev!!!! I really need to set the record straight that from this moment onwards till i graduate i will be busy with a daily packed schedule. Thus, please try to fit me into your hectic schedule and not me going your way as it is too demanding at times for time and moolah sake. Therefore EVERY TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY are attachment&night maths classes&rugbypractices. SATURDAY, i am having rugby practices too and SUNDAY IS A FAMILY DAY!!!! x) So, i am mostly likely to be free on monday&saturday nights. hah... we shall see!!!

As you know i caught the "BLACK DAHLIA". It is a true story about a lady who got killed called , Elizabeth Short. She died a horrible death. Neways, the storyline as we know is expected but i watched it as i knoW JoshIEEE is acting in it. *teeheeehee... Diverting from the movie, i feel i am getting sick of eating out and my left eye kept twitching the whole day at school. The presentation was good except that the graphs were a tad messy. hah. Hope i fare excellent. x)

Today, DAWN surprise me by giving me 4 blueberry muffin cup cakes for my tumtum which i offered 1 to Connie while having attachment in school. It is your first baking attempt and the muffins turn out not too bad despite not having a strong blueberry taste and slightly burn top layer. heh. Thank you sweets. I don't mind the free baking samples whenever you pop by my workplace at block 40. *hehehe. <3
